LA SEMILLA NEGRA DE NB-604 se exparsio a nivel mundial teninedo buen reconocimiento, astimosamente como toda buena banda, tuvierón que separarse , la alineación original .
hoy por hoy existe NB-604 pero no son los que fundarón la banda lastimosamente de las viejas glorias solo quedan los temas grabados como son: Ekhursaggalkurkurra (live), Slayer of Souls, Mother Violence, Atomic War, Perdition NB y One day of Psychopatmetal in the Hell (live).

A BAND THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO GAIN THE RESPECT OF THE PEOPLE AND A PLACE IN THE BLACK METAL SITE, WE'LL GIVE A BIT OF HIS STORY AND ONGOING SISTERY TO A NEW DAY.

 As one of the best extreme bands of Ecuador has been devoted to the 'Mutilated Crist'. This was founded in mid-1994, by William, 'Morbo mutilador', leader of the group and guitarist, who explains that they seek to end the 'cancer' of religion, since for more than two thousand years it has imprisoned people in a prison of hypocritical life.
With a slow but firm voice, 'Morbo' maintains that his dark music band mixes the literature of black magic, occultism and satanism, through a fierce and direct rhythm.
"The name of the band is not interpreted as indicated by its translation, but as the end of religion," says Morbo.
Adrián, known as Kingu, is the official voice of the group for more than three years. "I acquired the lyrics of the original line-up and now we are working on the construction of lyrics beyond the pleasurable states manifested by Satanism, seen from the positive side".

Legión is formed in the city of Portoviejo, province of Manabí, with the disintegration and later union of two musical projects called Atrox and Addiction, the same that never managed to consolidate as bands; this is how in October 1995, the survivors of these two musical projects decided to join and form the legion band with the following formation: Fernando Cevallos (ex-Cry and Mortom) on drums, Dover Chinga and Wacho Alarcón on the first and second guitar respectively, Juan Carlos Robles as vocalist and Marcelo Villavicencio on bass.

Also in 1996 the first underground rock concert made in Manabi with the participation of Total Death, Sarcasm, Legion and Vox Pop.

The band continued making sporadic presentations, but since the end of '96 he dedicated himself fully to the realization of the songs themselves, in which they began to work, the musical style was maturing musical and ideologically, gradually defining itself until being pigeonholed inside the black metal.

Before the need to be made known within the Ecuadorian scene, the band decides to record a promotional essay of 4 songs called simply "promo'97", which was distributed in Colombia, Usa, Germany, Spain, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, among others, and of course throughout Ecuador, receiving excellent comments from the specialized press. Due to the good reviews by the fanzines and the general public, the proposal to record for the Remiso Recs label was received.

saludos hermandad comenzando la semana, espero que su fin de semana haya sido de provecho y metal, este día es traigo información de mi Pais con una banda que se hizo un espacio en la escena del Black metal, ahunque corto fue su tiempo aun sigune tocando y con un buen trabajo en formato casette,llamadp el ocaso de la luz, bueno les dejo con la banda Ecuatoriana Legión.

Legión se forma en la ciudad de Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí, con la desintegración y posterior unión de dos proyectos musicales llamados Atrox y Adicción, los mismos que jamás lograron consolidarse como bandas; es así como en octubre de 1995, los sobrevivientes de estos dos proyectos musicales, deciden unirse y formar la banda legión con la siguiente formación: Fernando Cevallos (ex-Cry y Mortom) en la batería, Dover Chinga y Wacho Alarcón en la primera y segunda guitarra respectivamente, Juan Carlos Robles como vocalista y Marcelo Villavicencio en el bajo.

Después hubieron problemas internos en la banda y Fernando Cevallos se fue, el anterior vocalista toma la batería; y entra Juan Figueroa (ex-vocalista de Sarcasmo, de Manta) a ser el vocalista, luego se retira de la banda por discrepancias ideológicas Wacho Alarcón, quedando el actual line-up de la siguiente forma:

La banda empieza tocando covers de Black, Thrash Y Death Metal como Slayer, Venom, Sodom, Obituary, Asphyx, etc. En octubre de 1996, cuando se realiza la primera presentación de la banda, legión gana el primer lugar en el concurso de rock provincial organizado por la casa de la cultura de Portoviejo, haciéndose acreedor a un premio económico. También en 1996 se realiza el primer concierto de rock subterráneo hecho en Manabí con la participación de Total Death, Sarcasmo, Legión Y Vox Pop.

La banda continuó haciendo esporádicas presentaciones, pero desde finales del 96 se dedicó de lleno a la realización de los temas propios, en los que se empezó a trabajar, el estilo musical fue madurando musical e ideológicamente, definiéndose poco a poco hasta encasillarse dentro del black metal.

Ante la necesidad de hacerse conocer dentro de la escena ecuatoriana, la banda decide grabar un ensayo promocional de 4 temas llamado simplemente "promo'97", que fue distribuido en Colombia, Usa, Alemania, Espana, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Perú, Argentina, México, Costa Rica, entre otros, y por supuesto en todo el Ecuador, recibiendo excelentes comentarios de la prensa especializada. Debido a las buenas críticas por parte de los fanzines y público en general, se recibió la propuesta de grabar para el sello Remiso Recs.

Sarcophagus was formed in 1985 in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.1 Having as influences extreme metal bands like Bathory, Celtic Frost, Slayer, 2 and hardcore punk, 3 the goal of Sarcófago was to create the most aggressive music of the world4 Wagner Lamounier, who had separated with acrimony from Sepultura in March of that same year, 5 was invited to join the band.6 Although he never recorded anything with Sepultura, he wrote the lyrics of the song Antichrist, of the EP Bestial Devastation.7

The debut of Sarcófago was in the split album of Cogumelo Produções, Warfare Noise, originally published in 1986. Sarcófago contributed with three songs, "Recrucify", "The Black Vomit" and "Satanás". Their music and lyrics caused a great impact, something that allowed them to get a considerable amount of attention.8 At that time the band was formed by "Butcher" (guitar), "Antichrist" (Lamounier, voice), "Incubus" (Geraldo Minelli, bass) and "Leprous" (Armando Sampaio, drums) .9
INRI. (1987-1988)

With the new drummer, "DD Crazy" 10 -considered as one of the pioneers of the use of blast beat in this album3 - Sarcophagus published INRI in July 1987.1 The dress of the band on the cover of the album -corpsepaint, jackets of leather and belts of bullets - is considered one of the first visual representations of black metal.11 Music also had a great influence, being considered a milestone in the history of the genre.12 Even though the album had a good host, Lamounier was not satisfied with the final result and complained about the quality of the recording sessions.2

After the publication of I.N.R.I., Sarcófago made a short break. Lamounier moved to Uberlândia to study economics at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), while Butcher and his brother D.D. Crazy left the group.4 The latter would play the drums on Sextrash's debut album, Sexual Carnage (1989) .6

The release of this album also marks the departure of Jose Piloni (drums) from the band. Vulcano released a live recording Live! in 1985 to gain exposure to a greater audience outside of their home city of Santos. The story of REINCARNATION could easily summarize the past, present and future of Metal in Colombia.  la historia de REENCARNACIÓN podría fácilmente resumir el pasado, presente y futuro del Metal en Colombia. Fundada en 1984 en Medellín, en una época en la que el Metal Extremo estaba en su etapa embrionaria, REENCARNACIÓN combinó en su propuesta musical inicial elementos del Punk, el Hardcore y el Metal en una amalgama conocida entonces como “Ultra Metal”, un término nebuloso con el que se denominaba a cualquier banda que tocara más pesado que los suizos HELLHAMMER o los suecos BATHORY, en los días en los que el Metal no sufría de las innecesarias etiquetas e innumerables ramificaciones estilísticas que plagan este género del Rock. Aunque por entonces existían bandas similares (siendo PARABELLUM los indiscutibles pioneros de ese sonido cavernoso y salvaje) la ventaja de REENCARNACIÓN sobre sus congéneres fue que ellos sí grababan lo que hacían. Desde los comienzos de Víctor en una banda llamada PROFECÍA en 1984, transformándose en REENCARNACIÓN en 1986,  la acogida de su primer demo, “Dioses Muertos” de 1987, les impulsó a meterse a un estudio de grabación, con todo lo precario que era en aquellos días grabar rock en Colombia, sin alguien que supiera siquiera cómo hacerlo, con una escasez de técnicas y equipos que, pese a todas las circunstancias, tendría un impacto que ha superado la prueba del tiempo.

¿Qué de todo lo que vivía y se experimentaba en ese tiempo, fue lo que lo impulsó a hacer esos primeros esbozos musicales con REENCARNACIÓN? “Escuchar a PARABELLUM” responde y después de una breve pausa y una risa contenida, voltea la cabeza, me dirige una mirada inquisitiva, agregando socarronamente, “¿Tengo que hablar más?”  Y para contextualizar la respuesta, prosigue: “Me marcó mucho en el sentido del Metal. En esos momentos yo acababa de ingresar a PROFECÍA como vocalista, y lo que compuse como un tema ya terminado, que considero fue mi primer tema, fue ‘Reencarnación de la Luna’. Se grabó ese tema y, en ese momento, dije ‘Esto que estoy haciendo se va a llamar REENCARNACIÓN’. Pero lo que me dio la fuerza de decir ‘Esto es lo que yo quiero hacer’ fue PARABELLUM”.

Thanks to the postal mail of the eighties and the poorly recorded demos, the primitive metal of Medellín was spread like a plague abroad. The raw and chaotic sound that could only come from a country consumed by war, impressed the European rockers who from the comfort of the first world tried to talk about a violence they did not know. The dirty and aggressive atmosphere of bands like Reencarnación and Parabellum formed a unique subgenre of heavy music, a missing link between heavy metal and extreme metal known as ultra metal. A sound created by young and empirical musicians who did not know what the hell they were doing and who, unintentionally, entered the purest circles of the eighties metal and with their songs made to the brave they influenced the parents of one of the most radical movements and Controversies of extreme music: Norwegian black metal.

Inspired by others like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Motorhead, during the eighties the bands that formed the different subgenres of metal were born. Groups like Metallica, Slayer, Venom, Possessed and Morbid Angel began to spread and create a series of new sounds, faster, darker and heavier than the heavy metal and hard rock that preceded them, which shaped the thrash, death and black metal. Something that adjusted very well to the marginal reality of many young people of Medellin who, inspired by these new movements, also put themselves on guard.

Between 1982 and 1987, bands like Mierda, Reencarnación, Astaroth and Sacrilegio began to form the Colombian underground metal scene, a move that started in a very intuitive way, with groups of young people who hardly knew how to hold their rustic instruments, some even made by facts same, and in the same humble areas of Medellin that would be the breeding ground for the bloodiest of the urban drug trafficking fronts. In this creole and primitive metal, these pelados found a way to vent the anger and frustration of growing up without a future in the bowels of a society that marginalized them.

Of all the groups of that time the most legendary are Reincarnation and Parabellum. Led by Víctor Raúl Jaramillo (Piolin), Reencarnación was one of the first Colombian metal bands that he was not afraid to experiment. This is demonstrated by songs such as 888 metal, to which they put a violin and a classical guitar, or in Funeral del norte where they mix thrash heavy parts with the chaos and speed of the grind. Salem, the first extreme metal band in Israel, was formed in 1985, under the name Axe Metal, and is thus one of the first bands in the worldwide underground metal scene to play brutal black metal. This can be heard in their self-titled rehearsal tape from 1986 and their live demo Destruction Till Death from 1987, recorded at the legendary 'Penguin' club, the only outlet for alternative music in Israel throughout the 1980s. This formula was later perfected by bands such as Beherit and Blasphemy in the early 1990s.
Salem's music is a combination of doom/death metal (slow-paced death metal) with oriental elements and high-pitched screaming-vocals (distorted hoarse screams). Riffing, henceforth, can range from slow and heavy doom metal riffing to very fast and rapid death metal riffing. This sound evolved from Salem's original style (first two demos), which was old-school black metal. Salem's latest two studio albums are much heavier than their former LP's.

The name Melechesh consists of two Hebrew words, מלך (melech, "king") and אש (esh, "fire"), a combination that the group has originated. The ch is pronounced as the Spanish j, Scottish ch as in the word LOCH or the Dutch G (kh). The correct pronunciation in Spanish would be Melejesh. Another accepted and common pronunciation is MeleKesh.
History



The group's 1995 release of the official As Jerusalem Burns demo ... and the seven-inch EP The Siege of Lachish attracted the attention of underground metal fans and local authorities. The group was accused of "Dark Worship activities" by the Jerusalem police authorities, especially for the cover of a newspaper that misrepresented some facts. The charges were eventually withdrawn.

In 1996, the band released their debut album As Jerusalem Burns ... Al'Intisar on an American black metal record label; then newly hired, bassist Al 'Hazred joined the group.

Due to various personal and professional reasons, the group members were forced to move to France and the Netherlands in 1998. Lord Curse stayed in Jerusalem and later moved to the United States to continue his studies of Art, which demanded that the group will hire a new drummer. The main man and drummer of Absu Proscriptor soon filled the vacant position. Since then, Melechesh has published two full-length albums: Djinn (2001), which deals with Mesopotamian mythology, and Sphynx (2003), which deals with Mesopotamian and Sumerian mythology, always keeping the black and Near East close to their hearts.

Recently, the group recorded their fourth album Emissaries that is available in Europe by Osmose Productions and in the United States and Canada by The End Records. Meanwhile Xul has replaced the Proscriptor as the group's full-time drummer. In addition, Proscriptor, while no longer in the group, plans to re-publish The Siege of Lachish on record label (Tarot Productions) also in 2007.

Las bandas de black metal siempre han estado en contra de la religión. Sin embargo, en los países donde la religión es en verdad opresora, son pocas las bandas que siguen los pasos de Bathory, Mayhem y Burzum. Quizá porque es mucho más fácil ser una banda de metal que ataca al cristianismo en EU a ser una banda de metal que ataca al islam en Arabia Saudita. En Occidente, lo peor que te puede pasar es escuchar a tu mamá diciéndole a sus amigas que tu amor por el metal "es sólo una etapa". En Arabia Saudita, te arriesgas al estigma social, a que te metan a la cárcel o a que te ejecuten.
Por lo tanto, hay que darle crédito a Al-Namrood, la única banda de black metal de Arabia Saudita, cuyas letras tocan todos los temas prohibidos que se castigan con la pena de muerte. Hablé con Mephisto, el guitarrista y bajista de la banda.

VICE: ¿Cómo nació Al-Namrood y qué significa su nombre?

Mephisto: Tres hombres decidieron usar toda su agresión para crear música, para crear black metal. Sobra decir que los conceptos del black metal describen lo que estamos viviendo. La banda es una mezcla entre la escala árabe, el black metal y letras en árabe. El punto era crear música pegajosa y agresiva que cumpliera en el rango del metal extremo.
Al-Namrood es el nombre árabe del Rey Nimrod, el tirano que gobernó Babilonia con sangre y desafió al señor del universo, según dicen los dogmas de las religiones monoteístas. En nuestra opinión, Al-Namrood va a la perfección con el mensaje que quiere dar la banda. [Al-Namrood se traduce como "no creyente"].
¿Por qué decidieron tomar una posición en contra de la religión estando en un país que cree con vehemencia en el Islam?

Estamos hartos de la religión. Todo tiene que ver con la religión. Me da asco. Fui donde un loquero y me dijo que lo mejor que podía hacer era expresar lo que sentía. Y eso hicimos, nos expresamos. ¿Qué mejor motivo que vivir en un país donde todo gira en torno a la religión? Aquí, las personas prácticamente no tienen derecho a hacer nada. Somos propiedad de la Sharia (ley islámica). Todo lo que hacemos debe ser por el bien del Islam y necesita la aprobación social. La religión y la sociedad son nuestros tiranos. Los dos interactúan y se complementan el uno al otro.
¿De qué forma?

Hay mucha hipocresía y está comprobado que la población está de acuerdo con el sistema islámico en la mayoría de los casos. Por ejemplo, en el Islam, la música está prohibida pero la gente la escucha con la idea de que "Dios perdona". Pero cuando se trata de libre albedrío, entonces "Dios no perdona". Desde que naces, tu vida ya está decidida. Los niños nacen para ser musulmanes, nunca se les da la oportunidad de elegir otra religión. La educación está llena de prejuicios y se enfoca en el mundo islámico. No se pueden tomar en cuenta otros puntos de vista. El único punto de vista que se permite es el de la tradición reconocida y la práctica religiosa aprobada. El libre albedrío es un crimen porque "altera la paz". Ni siquiera puedes escoger con quién te quieres casar. Tus padres escogen por ti. En nuestro país se acostumbra unir el enfoque social con el enfoque religioso y nadie dice nada.
El video musical de la canción "Bat Al Tha ar Nar Muheja" ¿Cómo nació tu interés por este género? Me imagino que es difícil conseguir discos de black metal en Arabia Saudita...

Fue gradual. Empezamos escuchando lo básico del metal y poco a poco fuimos escuchando cosas más extremas. Nos gustó el concepto del black metal porque describe la brutalidad de la religión. Este contexto existe en otros géneros, como el death metal, pero nos inclinamos más hacia el black porque tiene muchos elementos del punk metal, cuya música y conceptos son increíbles. Fuimos a algunos países vecinos a comprar discos y los metimos a escondidas. También aprendimos del mundo exterior con libros que unos amigos metieron de contrabando al país. Después, el internet llegó a expandir aún más nuestro conocimiento.
Leí que nunca han usado sus nombres reales ni han publicado fotos suyas. Es más, que ni siquiera sus familias saben que tienen una banda de metal. Debe ser duro tener que hacer todo eso para mantener su identidad en secreto.

Para nada. Estamos acostumbrados desde que éramos niños. Me refiero a que siempre hemos tenido un punto de vista diferente al resto de la sociedad y que nos dimos cuenta de que no compartíamos su opinión. Algunos tratamos de encajar o de expresar lo que pensábamos pero lo único que logramos fue que nos metieran a la cárcel, por lo tanto, desde muy pequeños aprendimos a aislarnos de nuestro entorno. Y cuando formamos nuestra banda, lo único que tuvimos que hacer fue aplicar la misma metodología.
¿Por qué crees hay tan pocas bandas que atacan al islam a pesar de que es común que bandas de este género incluyan temas antirreligiosos en las letras de sus canciones?

Simple y sencillamente porque no lo han vivido. El cristianismo actual es pasivo. La iglesia no controla a los países. La iglesia no se compara con el régimen musulmán. En Europa es posible criticar a la iglesia porque hay libertad de expresión, pero eso no existe en los países de Medio Oriente. El sistema no lo permite. La autoridad del islam en el Medio Oriente es mayor que en cualquier otro lugar. Toda política tiene que alinearse con la Sharia, hoy, en 2015. Hace 400 años, se cometieron muchas atrocidades en nombre de la iglesia y pasa lo mismo en esta época con el islam.
¿Qué obstáculos enfrentan a la hora de grabar?

Las barreras son colosales. Es como vivir en una cueva y pedir que haya electricidad. En los países musulmanes radicales, la música se considera un crimen según la ley del islam. Vivimos aislados. Nuestra identidad es un secreto, al igual que nuestros gustos musicales. Y corremos aún más peligro si queremos hacerle publicidad a la banda. Pero los obstáculos no son sólo en el ámbito social. Además aquí no hay equipo musical decente y es difícil importarlo.
¿Alguna vez han tocado en vivo?

No, es imposible porque estaríamos violando la ley. Nos pueden condenar a muerte si hacemos un concierto.

Sus letras hablan sobre demonios y genios (o yinns) de la mitología mesopotámica. ¿En qué se inspiraron?

En la escuela nos enseñan que los árabes vivían en la oscuridad antes de que llegara el islam a iluminar a la gente, pero para nosotros resulta mucho más interesante el mundo antes del islam. También nos gustan los cuentos árabes de la Edad Media, como Las mil y una noches.
Dijiste que decidieron incorporar instrumentos regionales en las canciones. ¿Puedes hablarme un poco más sobre eso?

Claro. A veces, cuando componemos una canción, nos damos cuenta de que en algunas partes quedaría bien usar un instrumento árabe, como un laúd o un qanun. Lo difícil es saber cómo combinar el cuarto de tono (que se utiliza en la música árabe) con la afinación de la guitarra. Una vez que lo logramos, lo demás llega solo. No somos expertos en producción musical. Solo hacemos música agradable para nuestros oídos. Algunas partes salen de forma natural y otras necesitan que las revisemos y las trabajemos.
¿Crees que algún día exista una escena de black metal en Arabia Saudita?

A juzgar por el rumbo que está tomando el país, diría que faltan al menos otros mil años.
